What is process service?

Process service is the formal delivery of legal documents (summonses, petitions, subpoenas, notices, and related papers) to a party in a manner that complies with applicable rules. Proper service protects your case by creating a clear, admissible record of delivery, attempts, dates, times, and method of service.

What's included (Standard Process Service)

  • Up to 4 attempts included (as needed):
    • Morning: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
    • Afternoon: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
    • Evening: 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM
    • Saturday attempt window
  • Prompt first attempt typically within 1–2 days (excluding Sunday).
  • Printing up to 50 pages (additional pages: $0.10/page).
  • Any required mailings (statutory mailings only; excludes certified mail) .
  • CPLR 3215 additional notice mailing (where applicable).
  • Electronically signed affirmation of service.
  • NYSCEF e-filing of the affirmation of service (where applicable).
  • GPS timestamped photographs to support attempt documentation.
  • Body-worn camera documentation available in the local service area.

Pricing

Pricing varies by service location and order volume. We offer preferred pricing for high-volume accounts. Please contact us to review your expected volume and rates. Pricing is per service: each person, address, or case is billed separately.

Some matters may require special handling (e.g., multiple defendants, hard-to-serve scenarios, or out-of-area travel). We'll flag anything unusual as early as possible.
